We have two words for you. Earl’s. Court. What do they make you think of? Well, if it isn’t of an ancient lord ruling over this part of London while his followers run about serving him, then we can’t help you. But if the name inspires images of history, conquest and our ancient ancestors, then you’re on the right track. You might have heard about the world-famous concert venue (the Exhibition Centre) that unfortunately closed in 2014. Perhaps you only know the name because of the railway line, but in any event, here’s a little more about this fabled part of London.
What type of entertainment will you find here?
If you’re looking for exciting concerts, huge arenas and performances that go on all night – you are a few years late. After the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre closed in 2014, the region started to suffer with withdrawal symptoms. That was until the local borough decided to invest millions into renovating the location; you’ll now find dozens of exciting things to see and do.
For a start, the location has so many ways to get around that you’ll feel spoilt for choice. We’re talking about buses, a railway line and a host of taxi services. Then there’s the Kempsford Garden – a stunning location that’s been maintained from as far back as 1867. If shopping is your thing then you won’t be disappointed, but one of the biggest draws has to be the low population of roughly 10,000 inhabitants – mainly due to the fact that the cost of homes in this area is just so high!
And what about the health and beauty scene?
Not only is this area considered one of the most expensive (to live) in London – it’s also one of the most culturally diverse. The great thing about this fact is that people from all around the world have started to introduce their culture to the region, resulting in dozens of affordable, diverse and enjoyable beauty salons.
You’ll find plenty dotted along the high street, down the cobbled pavements and even near the train station. Some are owned by brands, others are privately owned and if you look hard, you might even find a few mobile therapists that may be willing to visit your hotel if you’re planning a short stay and fancy a quick treatment – or seven!
Apple & Eve Beauty has been successfully offering a range of beauty treatments since 2001 with the aim to consistency make their customers feel great. The beauty salon is tucked away down a little side street making it the perfect place to escape the hustle
