Fulham is one of the most iconic parts of London and not just because of its thriving football scene. The area is also one of the oldest in the city and even played host to the Bishop of London years ago. If you’re curious to visit, just look for Fulham Palace on a map. It might not be an actual palace, but it’s certainly mansion-worthy if we’re honest.
Is there much else to see and do here?
The region is one of the most well-connected in London, with Charing Cross, Putney, Barns and Kensington just a short journey away. Speaking of journeys, the local bus service is very affective, with active pick-ups and drop-offs all day long. If you’d prefer to travel in a little more comfort there are a host of cab services to choose from, but there’s also the option to rent a car from one of the local agencies instead, if you’d prefer.
Once you’re there we’re sure that you’ll enjoy all that the area has to offer. There’s the Putney Bridge, the Empress State Building and Earls Court Exhibition Centre just a short journey away. The region is also famed for its gin breweries and pubs, so if you’re a fan of alcohol you could always book a tour and enjoy a few taste testing sessions. And as expected, there are dozens of retail outlets, eateries and much more to enjoy, too!
Are there many salons here?
What thriving area in London would be complete without a variety of beauty salons and hair care clinics? Fulham certainly isn’t short of them, so if you have a few extra coins to spend then we’d recommend the high street where prices are a little higher, but the services are second to none. If you’d like to save some cash and still enjoy a fantastic treatment (or six!) however, then you’ll find plenty of options in and around the roads and walkways.
The best place to start your search isn’t even in Fulham, but right here on this very website! At UK 10 best, we strive to connect you with the best options out there, so why not check our listings out and see for yourself?
