What do most people think about when they hear the word Mayfair? Park Lane, of course! And why is that exactly? Well, we think that it could have a little something to do with both regions being notorious in the well-known board game Monopoly. But in real life, this region is actually one of the most wealthy and affluent areas in London.
What is there to do in Mayfair?
If you’re into iconic sites and legendary landmarks they don’t come much more enigmatic than Grosvenor Square – one of the most frequently maintained public parks in the City of London. It overlooks the stunning Millennium Hotel and if you have a few spare coins for your trip to this region, then we couldn’t recommend booking a stay any more highly.
Getting around is simple as you might expect from London, with active bus routes operating all day long, a ridiculous amount of taxi and cab services to choose from, as well as several nearby train stations if you prefer racing through a dark tunnel at high speeds. There’s also a huge shopping scene, plenty of culture to enjoy and a shocking amount of historic landmarks and scenery.
And what about the salons?
Ah yes, we almost forgot why you were here! If you’re visiting UK 10 Best, the chances are that you’re keen to learn a bit more about the local salons, spas and beauty centres. Fortunately for you Mayfair certainly doesn’t disappoint. We can think of several fantastic locations right now, but if there’s one thing that we’ll prepare you for – it’s the price.
If you want quality, you won’t get any better than the beauty salons and hair clinics in this area. They are a little pricey however, but what else would you expect from such an affluent part of London?
